How My Seattle’s Coffee Addiction Started

Coffee has been one of my comfort foods for as long as I can remember.

Growing up in an Italian family, with my grandmother baking the traditional Italian cookies and sweet breads for the holidays, were the foundation of my love for a good cup of coffee to go with those mouth watering delights.

Throughout my life I can’t even imagine a day without my coffee. The aroma of the coffee brewing in the morning and that first cup to begin my day. I thought life was perfect. I had my coffee and everything was great. Little did I know things were about to change.

It began with my traveling to other parts of the country, New York, then Mexico, New Orleans, San Francisco, Hawaii to name a few. At first I wasn’t overly impressed with the different coffees from the places I visited.  I even remember bringing back coffee from Mexico, and yes it was good coffee, however it was my trip to San Francisco that created the biggest change in the coffees I prefer and now drink.

I was served a coffee blend that was roasted in Seattle. Oh, that was the best cup of coffee I had ever tasted.  And on returning home, the regular coffee I brewed & drank never tasted or satisfied me, since that first cup of Seattle’s coffee.  I have since become a true Seattle’s dark roast coffee addict.

I look forward to every day beginning with my favorite cup of coffee.

Also, Seattle’s Coffee Direct has a great deal going on right now.  You can get 2 bags of their choice coffee blends, plus extra gifts for a special low price. This is a great way to try the coffee to see if you like it and possibly get addicted like me.

coffee house wants to make a hawaiian mix from 2 of their popular coffees,kona and frenchie.Kona sells for $11.50per pound and want to kno how much to add of it to 12 pounds of frenchie which sells for $ 7.50per pound to make hawaiian mix which sells for $10 per pound. solve 1 variable 1 unknown step by step plz.

Let the quantity of Hawaiian mix = x pounds
The quantity of Frenchie in the mix = 12 pounds
Therefore the quantity of Kona in the mix = (x – 12) pounds
According to the question
11.50(x -12) + 7.50*12 = 10*x
11.50x – 138 + 90 = 10x
11.5x – 10x = 138 – 90
1.5x = 48
x = 48/1.5
= 32
Therefore the quantity of Kona in the mix = (x – 12) = 32 – 12 = 20 pounds

Hawaiian Kona Coffee Review

Hawaiian Kona Coffee?

Is there anyone else out there who will ONLY drink Hawaiian Kona Coffee?
I don’t drink it everyday, but when I do, this is the ONLY one I touch-especially the Original.

I was just wondering if I was the only one like that. The other coffees taste like hot water to me and I have to have mine strong.

coffee at any price. I have a coffee grinder and grind only one days coffee at a time…. I like it strong too.. and no matter how strong I make it, it is never bitter. I LOVE coffee!!

How does it taste if prepared like an espresso?

To start with do not grind the beans till just before your ready to brew.
Using a French Press style coffee maker is the best for any kind of coffee.
But for the Kona it should make it an even more enjoyable coffee experience.
Use cold filtered water bring the water just to a boil before using.
Grind beans,pour ground coffee in to French Press then add hot water slowly.
Fill to 1 inch from Press lip stir with spoon to distribute.
Wait 1 to 5 minutes put lid on press slowly and enjoy.

Brew it in a french press.
Don’t try to make espresso out of it. Espresso beans are roasted differently, besides, you won’t get the full flavor of the coffee.
